I started DatoVero because I saw a glaring gap: nonprofits and small businesses were being forced to either pay enterprise prices they couldn’t afford, or settle for generic software that didn’t fit their workflows.

With the Cardinal at the helm, DatoVero delivers True Data — a reflection of my commitment to helping you track Cardinal data and cardinal events, giving your organization accurate, meaningful insights, not just pretty graphs.

The Breaking Point for Small Businesses

The idea for DatoVero was born out of profound frustration with the state of software for small organizations. Everywhere I looked, I saw incredibly dedicated people—small business owners, nonprofit directors, community organizers—wasting hours of their week fighting against their own digital tools. They were attempting to force their unique, beautifully complex operations into rigid, one-size-fits-all SaaS (Software as a Service) boxes. When an off-the-shelf CRM couldn't handle a specific donor tracking requirement, their only option was to manually maintain a secondary spreadsheet, leading to data silos, errors, and exhaustion. I realized that the technology industry had largely abandoned these mission-driven groups in favor of chasing lucrative enterprise contracts.

Redefining the ERP and CRM Landscape

I set out to completely redefine what an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool could be. Instead of building another generic product, I built an adaptable ecosystem powered by advanced artificial intelligence. The goal was to take the immense, complex power of AI—things like automated data transcription, predictive analytics, and natural language processing—and wrap it in an interface so clean and intuitive that someone with zero technical background could master it instantly. We call this capturing "True Data" (Dato Vero). It allows organizations to focus purely on tracking cardinal events, those critical, pivotal milestones that dictate success, rather than stressing over software maintenance.
